Prince Harry reportedly has no interest in returning to royal duties in Britain, preferring life in California with Meghan and their children.
Prince Harry reportedly has no interest in leaving the United States to return to royal duties in Britain. Nearly five years after stepping down as senior royals, the Duke of Sussex is settled in California with Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Sources close to Harry told the *Daily Telegraph* that he has established a new life in Montecito and has an “amazing” circle of friends in the United States. He is currently preparing for a trip to New York, where he will engage in charity work with organisations like the Halo Trust and the Diana Award.

Recently, the *Mail on Sunday* reported that Harry has turned away from Hollywood publicists, seeking advice from former confidantes about potentially returning to the UK. This marks the first stage of a possible strategy to “rehabilitate” his public image and mend his relationship with King Charles following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
Despite these developments, sources confirmed that Harry and Meghan are not seeking a permanent return to royal duties. The couple has faced multiple staff changes, including the recent departure of communications head Christine Weil Schirmer, who was the tenth staff member to leave in three years. Last month, their chief of staff, Josh Kettler, also quit after just three months.
A source noted, “Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and is seeking counsel from his old friends and associates.”
