Respected City Lawyer and Principal Partner at Robert Clarke SAN & Ade Oshodi Partners, Shakeer Adedayo Oshodi, Esq., was, on Friday, May 2, conferred with the SDNON Excellence in Legal Innovation Award in recognition of his transformative contributions to judicial practice in Nigeria, in a solemn gathering brimming with reverence for legal excellence and civic dedication.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON), led by its President Adeniyi Ifetayo, presented the award, drawing inspiration from John F. Kennedy’s immortal words: “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

Ifetayo emphasized that this ethos perfectly encapsulated Oshodi’s career—a relentless pursuit of legal innovation and societal betterment.

The occasion was graced by a select delegation of SDNON executives, including Oluwaseun ‘Seunmanuel’ Faleye, General Secretary of SDNON, and Kanyinulia Okeke, Public Relations Officer of the society, among other notable figures.

Also present was Barr. A.O. Afolabi, Esq., a protégé of Oshodi, who lauded his mentor as “a worthy leader who has shaped countless legal minds, many of whom have gone on to become icons in the profession.”

A visibly moved Oshodi, Principal Partner at Robert Clarke SAN & Ade Oshodi Partners and a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, likened the honor to one of the most defining moments of his career—when Chief Robert Clarke SAN entrusted him with the leadership of his esteemed law firm.

“I am so excited; the feeling today is similar to how I felt when Chief Robert Clarke told me to take over his firm,” Oshodi remarked in his acceptance speech.

He further described the recognition as an “invisible force” that would propel him to further elevate legal practice and societal impact in Nigeria.

With over two decades of distinguished legal practice, Oshodi has carved a niche as a versatile and dynamic attorney.

A proud alumnus of the University of Lagos, where he earned his LLB and LLM degrees, he was appointed Notary Public in 2014, further cementing his standing in Nigeria’s legal community.

His firm, Robert Clarke SAN & Ade Oshodi Partners, emerged from a strategic merger in August 2022, expanding its footprint across Corporate Business Law, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Property Law, and Criminal Law.

Notably, Oshodi has championed pro bono services, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to justice for all.

Outside his legal prowess, Oshodi is a Vice President of the prestigious Eko Club and an active member of Ikoyi Club 1938.

A true polymath, he excels in chess, team sports, and aquatic activities, embodying the balance of intellect, strategy, and vitality.

The SDNON Excellence in Legal Innovation Award not only celebrates Oshodi’s past achievements but also ignites his resolve to push boundaries in Nigeria’s legal sector.

As he aptly noted, “This recognition is not an endpoint, but a catalyst for greater service.”
