Real Madrid have reportedly finalized a three-year deal with former midfielder Xabi Alonso to become their next head coach, succeeding Carlo Ancelotti
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ccording to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have reached a full agreement with Xabi Alonso to take over as the club’s next head coach.

The Spanish tactician, who is currently managing Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, has reportedly signed a contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2028.
Romano broke the news on Monday via his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, here we go! Story confirmed and deal sealed for Xabi as new manager until 2028.”
The agreement reportedly includes Alonso’s backroom staff, and preparations are underway for him to begin his tenure with the club during the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, where Real Madrid are expected to participate as the reigning UEFA Champions League winners.

“Staff sorted, contract in place and three year deal for Alonso with Real planning for him to start at FIFA Club World Cup,” Romano further added.
The appointment of Xabi Alonso signals the impending departure of current head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian manager, who has enjoyed a successful spell at Real Madrid, leading them to numerous major titles, is expected to bid farewell in the coming weeks, paving the way for Alonso’s arrival.
