Councillor representing Ojokoro LCDA ward F, Hon. Taiwo Ayorinde gathered youths in the LCDA especially ward F to throw in their weight behind the aspiration of the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, to represent Lagos West at the Senate in 2023.

Speaking with the media, Ayorinde expressed confidence in the ability of Obasa, who re-contested for his constituency in the 2019 state election and was re-elected as member of the Lagos State house of assembly, becoming the first to be re-elected into office fourth consecutive times, and a fifth term record.

He said that the speaker had done well since he assumed office with his leadership style, people oriented motions and bills that had positively affected the lives of the people of the state.

“I, Ayorinde Taiwo representing the good people of Ojokoro LCDA ward F, alongside my teaming supporters hereby throw our weight and move that a vote of reliable leadership has been passed on the Speaker, Mr Mudashiru Obasa,” he said.

“Obasa, who is popularly called the symbol of the Lagos State House of Assembly, had been very impressive. It is on this note that we express our loyalty and declare our support for him to represent Lagos West at the National Assembly.

“Because experience can’t be bought, that’s the reason Obasa who has achieved that over the years is capable to represent us. On behalf of the people of Ojokoro, I would say that we are behind you,” he said.

In the same vein, Hon. Taiwo Ayorinde promise to keep representing the people of his ward, noting that Obasa is his role model in performing as a legislative member.

He promised to be at the forefront as soon as Obasa officially declares his ambition. He called on others to join him to take Lagos West to the next level.
