A 30-year old lady, Tope Giwa, has done the unthinkable to her friend, simply identified as Temi, after she reportedly uploaded her nude pictures on the social media over an undisclosed disagreement in Lagos.

The incident happened at Savanna area of Command, Lagos, where they reside.

The dastardly act was reported to the Police at Meiran Division and the DPO immediately ordered for the arrest of the suspect, Giwa. But by then, the victim’s private parts had been exposed to the public.

The Police however, did not disclose the cause of the fight, which may have prompted Giwa to have done such to her supposed friend.
The Police only stated that the suspect, Giwa, did commit the alleged offence by exposing the pictures on the social media which had traumatized the victim.

When interrogated by the Police, Giwa said she did it in order to provoke the victim, Temi, over undisclosed disagreement between them.

She was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty before the Court.

The prosecutor, Mr. Nse Okpoyu, then asked the court to give a date for the trial for the police to prove that she actually committed the offence.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. W.A. Salami, granted her bail and ordered her remand in Correctional Centre pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned but the court has not been able to sit for trial due to the Covid-19 lockdown in the State.
