Dr. Ahmed Audi, the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), lost his father, Alhaji Abubakar Audi.
This was stated by the Corps’ Director of Public Relations (DPR), DCC Olusola Odumosu, in a statement released Thursday morning.
Alhaji Audi, also known as Magajin Gari Laminga, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, according to the announcement, however the cause of death was not stated.
“Alhaji Audi was a former government official who served in a variety of roles, such as the Bursar of the College of Education in Akwanga and the Director of Finance and Accounts for the Nasarawa Local Government, to name a few.
“He was married and had numerous children, grandkids, and great grandchildren, including the Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps,” the statement continued.
According to Islamic traditions, he will be buried today in Laminga, his hometown.
