The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, July 10, paid a condolence visit to the wife of the late former governor of Oyo state, Florence Ajimobi.
This was disclosed in a tweet shared by Babafemi Oretuyi a communications specialist who shared photos from the visit on his Twitter page.
The immediate past governor of Oyo state, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, died on Thursday, June 25, at a private hospital in Lagos at the age of 70 after spending weeks in intensive care for coronavirus complications.
Though he was said to have tested negative for COVID-19 the illness however had caused his health to deteriorate.
The former Lagos state governor was accompanied by Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi.
Tinubu joins the list of prominent Nigerians who have paid a condolence visit to Ajimobi’s widow at the family’s residence.
The remains of the former governor were laid to rest at his country home residence located at 6th Avenue, Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate around 10 am on Sunday, June 28, according to Islamic rites.
