According to the statement by the chairman, Transition Committee, Ifo Local Government, Hon. Fola Salami, the respected monarch was a true statesman who served his people with distinction.

The statement read:
It is with great sadness that I announce the demise of our, Royal father, His Majesty, Oba Nurudeen Adekanmbi Adebowale, Olofin Adimula of Isheri Aworiland, who until his death was a true statesman who served his people with distinction.
On behalf of the people and the Government of Ifo Local Government, I wish to convey my deepest sympathy and grief to the people of Isheri-Olofin Awori kingdom at this sad time.
May all within and outside the shores of Isheri-Olofin and Awori land in it’s entirety find the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss of our great monarch
The late Olofin of Isheri land would be remembered for his visionary leadership style and compassion for his people while on the throne of his forefathers.
Olofin Royal stool, according to reports, in Isheri along Lagos-Ibadan expressway belongs to Olofin Ogunfunminire and Isheri Olofin is the source of Aworiland.
While alive, the royal father once emphasized on the formation of the Aworis that while migrating from Ile-Ife several centuries ago, they first settled at Isheri which made the ancient town the root of all Aworis.
“The Aworis have their root in Isheri Olofin. Our Forefather, Olofin Ogunfunminire founded Isheri when the mud plate sank on the Ogunfunminire river which is now popular known as Ogun river. Isheri Olofin remain the hisyorical foundation of all Aworis both at home and in the diaspora”.
He also added that Aworis cuts across Ota, Igbesa, Ilobi, Ado-Odo, Ibaragun, Gan-un, Agbara and many others.
HRM Oba Nurudeen Adekanmbi while responding to the issue of paramountcy in Awori land, once he said, it is known to all and sundry that Awori land deserved a traditional ruling council so as to unite Awori monarchs who have been divided along geographical and political lines. He added that if paramountcy was to be given to the Aworis, the Olofin of Isheri deserved to be the paramount ruler in that Awori land started from there and it is also his prayer that the Governor of the state, His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun grants their request.
May his soul rest his peace.
