[dropcap]N[/dropcap]ollywood veteran Segun Arinze has revealed the reasons behind his departure from the music industry, while announcing plans for a non-commercial return.

Speaking during a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by popular content creator Bae U Barbie, Arinze addressed long-standing speculations about his musical career.

The actor clarified that his decision to leave music was not due to failure but a deliberate choice to focus on acting, where he has since excelled.

“I didn’t fail as a musical artist. I left music on my own volition. If I wanted to do music, I would have continued,” he stated.

Arinze, a graduate of Theatre Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, noted that his education and passion for the arts allowed him to thrive in both music and acting.

However, his career path was shaped by a strategic decision to dedicate himself to acting, which has brought him widespread acclaim.

Despite stepping away from the music scene, Arinze assured fans that his love for singing remains strong. “I can always go back to music.

I didn’t fail. I’ve two albums. I suspended it [my music career]. When I feel it’s time, I will go back. I still sing. The voice is still there,” he said.

He further revealed that his return to music would not be for commercial gain but purely out of passion. “I will be going back to music, but I won’t be coming into it for commercial reasons.

I will return to music just because I want to sing, not because I want to make money,” Arinze added.

Fans of the multi-talented actor are eagerly anticipating his artistic evolution as he prepares to showcase his vocal talent once again, driven by a deep passion for music.
