FilmOne, the distributor of Everybody Loves Jenifa, announced the achievement via an Instagram post that celebrated its unprecedented earnings:

“Everybody Loves Jenifa has officially reached a historic ₦1.466 billion and counting at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time!

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible audiences in Nigeria and Ghana for making this dream a reality! Your support means everything. On to even greater heights! Still showing in cinemas near you—experience the magic on the big screen.”

This monumental success cements Akindele’s reputation as a leading figure in Nollywood. The film reached an extraordinary milestone of ₦1 billion in less than two weeks, demonstrating its wide appeal and audience loyalty.

Fans and critics alike have celebrated the movie’s success, attributing it to its compelling storytelling, stellar performances, and Akindele’s undeniable star power.

The film’s distributor has also highlighted its strong reception in both Nigeria and Ghana, showcasing the growing influence of Nollywood across the African continent.

As Everybody Loves Jenifa continues to draw audiences, Akindele has expressed gratitude to her fans and a commitment to producing even more groundbreaking projects.

With this latest achievement, she solidifies her position as a trailblazer in Nollywood, inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and creatives.

The film remains available in cinemas nationwide, offering fans the chance to witness the magic that has captivated audiences and set an industry benchmark.
