The event, organised by the Youth Alliance for Northern Development, took place at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Mosque, Sanusi Street, Sabon Gari, Kano, drawing dozens of young people and well-wishers from across the North.
Leading the prayer, Sheikh Abdullateef Emiabata invoked blessings for Seyi Tinubu, praying for long life, good health, and divine guidance to continue his service to Nigerian youths.
He also prayed for the nation’s peace, unity, and economic progress, urging Nigerians to support efforts that strengthen togetherness and mutual understanding.
“We pray that God Almighty continues to shower His blessings on all Nigerians and ensure peace and unity prevail.
May He also grant Seyi Tinubu long life and good health to keep promoting youth empowerment and national unity,” the cleric said.
Speaking after the prayer, the convener, Seyi Olorunsola, described the celebrant as “a distinguished youth icon, philanthropist, and visionary Nigerian,” noting that despite not holding political office, Seyi Tinubu continues to inspire young people through educational and humanitarian initiatives.
“We are celebrating Seyi’s 40th birthday because he has continued to serve as a moral example to the younger generation,” Olorunsola said.
Another youth leader, Isyaku Rabi’u, added that the event was a gesture of appreciation for Seyi’s efforts in creating opportunities for young Nigerians, particularly in the North.
“It’s on record that Seyi Tinubu has facilitated more than 50 appointments for young people, especially from the North. So, as youths, we felt it necessary to appreciate and celebrate him,” he said.
