Nigerians, particularly lovers and fans of popular Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka James (Lanre Omiyinka) popularly called Baba Ijesha, were dismayed yesterday as reports surfaced that he has been raping a daughter of his benefactor who is now 14 years-old for the past 7 years.
This is indeed a trying moment for the talented Nigerian actor who got married to a beautiful wife who is a top manager at Samsung in Lagos the same year he was alledged to have been defiling the young girl.
The actor had his traditional wedding at the Eko FM Hall in Ikeja with several Nollywood stars in attendance, before his white wedding ceremony on Saturday the 6th of July 2013 also in Lagos.

The development therefore, became very disturbing and complicated because, Baba Ijesha, now 48 years old, married his beautiful wife exactly the same year he was alledged to have started having canal knowledge of the young girl.
Baba Ijesha got married in 2013 and from the initial police report, he was said to have started this ungodly act since the girl who is now 14 years old was barely 7- years old without the knowledge of his wife or the parents of the young girl.
But yesterday, luck ran out of Lanre Omiyinka as he was arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly defiling the minor, after a closed-circuit television installed in the victim’s home captured Omiyinka allegedly molesting the victim while her mother was not at home.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother, who had been suspecting that her daughter was being sexually abused, installed the CCTV to uncover the perpetrator.
It was gathered that the victim’s mother monitored the situation in her home on her phone and to her dismay, she saw Omiyinka allegedly conducting himself in a suspicious manner around her daughter, before taking her to the kitchen where he allegedly defiled her.
He was said to have confessed to the offence as comprehensive investigation continues but, if at the end of the day he is found culpable and convicted, it will be a big blow for his constituency and his numerous fans.
