The new application, officially named Stanbic IBTC Mobile 3.0, builds upon the legacy of the popular Stanbic IBTC Super App, introducing a refined user interface, deeper functionality, and broader financial service integration—all under the unified branding of APPbility.
“This launch represents a monumental milestone in our journey toward leading Nigeria’s financial innovation,” said Wole Adeniyi, CEO of Stanbic IBTC Bank.
“APPbility will deliver an enriched digital banking experience, setting new standards for digital transactions in the country.”
The bank described APPbility not merely as an update, but a complete overhaul of its digital platform.
In addition to basic banking transactions, users can now manage insurance policies, handle Trust accounts, and explore investment options via BluNest, the bank’s upgraded asset management interface.
According to Kunle Adedeji, Acting CEO of Stanbic IBTC Holdings:
“With APPbility, we’ve taken a bold step forward. The app also now offers multilingual support in English and Mandarin, allowing for more seamless cross-border transactions and a broader user base.”
The platform is designed for both retail and high-net-worth clients, reflecting the bank’s drive to make sophisticated financial tools accessible via mobile.
Whether users are checking balances, managing portfolios, or securing insurance coverage, APPbility aims to serve as a one-stop solution for every stage of financial life.
The launch of APPbility reaffirms Stanbic IBTC’s role as a front-runner in digital banking innovation within Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The app also positions the bank to better support Nigeria’s youthful, tech-savvy population—many of whom now prefer mobile-first financial solutions.
