Taraba University Student Death shocks campus as police probe the mysterious demise of Comfort Jimtop Oliver, a 100-level Mass Communication student

The deceased, who hailed from Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, was reportedly found in a residence said to belong to her boyfriend. The circumstances leading to her untimely death remain unclear.

Police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of death and piece together the events that led to the tragedy.

State Police spokesperson James Lashen confirmed the case, noting that further details would be provided once the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area submitted updates.

University staff members who spoke on condition of anonymity said the institution was working closely with security operatives and pledged that no stone would be left unturned in uncovering the truth.

The development has left both students and staff devastated, with many describing Oliver as a promising young woman whose life was cut short too soon.
