In a warm tribute issued yesterday in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr Dele Alake, for decades of excellence in journalism, public service, and strategic communication.
The statement, signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, highlighted Alake’s achievements and unwavering loyalty to Nigeria’s progress.
“Dr. Dele Alake has remained a committed, loyal, and outstanding ally for several decades,” the President said. “His steadfastness and unyielding commitment to national development and progress stand him out as a patriot.”
Tinubu Congratulates Dele Alake not only for his personal milestones but also for his ongoing transformation of the solid minerals sector into a viable economic pillar under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President praised Alake’s reforms, which include the integration of artisanal miners into the formal economy, investment promotion, and bold policy innovation, aimed at shifting Nigeria away from raw mineral exports to value-added industrialisation.
Reflecting on their decades-long association, President Tinubu said their partnership was anchored on shared values of service, integrity, and national progress.
“On this special day, I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless Dele with good health, wisdom, and strength,” Tinubu added.
Dr Alake, a veteran journalist and former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State, is one of President Tinubu’s most trusted confidants and now plays a central role in the administration’s vision for economic diversification through solid minerals development.
