UBA clinches top honours at DBN Service Ambassador Awards for MSME impact

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has won multiple prestigious awards at the 2025 Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Service Ambassador Awards, including the Platinum Service Ambassador Award, for its significant impact on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria

[dropcap]U[/dropcap]nited Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has reaffirmed its leadership in fostering economic growth and empowerment, securing major plaques at the 2025 Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Service Ambassador Awards.

The bank triumphed over formidable competition to clinch multiple prestigious accolades.

UBA emerged victorious in several key categories, including: Deposit Money Bank (DMB) with the Highest Impact on MSMEs in Nigeria; DMB with the Highest Impact on Women MSMEs; Participating Financial Institution (PFI) with the Highest Impact in the North-Central Zone; and the highly coveted Platinum Service Ambassador Award, the biggest honour of the night.

This latest recognition highlights UBA’s unwavering commitment to empowering businesses, promoting financial inclusion, and actively supporting female entrepreneurs and underserved communities across the nation.

Mr. Muyiwa Akinyemi, UBA’s Deputy Managing Director, who received the Platinum Service Ambassador Award on behalf of the bank, expressed profound gratitude for the recognition.

He stated that the prestigious plaques serve as proof of the bank’s strategic focus on providing accessible financing, robust capacity building, and innovative solutions designed to help small businesses thrive.

Akinyemi reiterated UBA’s readiness to continue its dedication to fostering economic resilience and prosperity throughout Nigeria.

Their impactful interventions, especially in supporting women entrepreneurs and underserved regions, align perfectly with DBN’s mandate.
