US-based media practitioner Dr Sandra Duru has accused suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of orchestrating a media-driven campaign to destabilise the federal government and discredit Senate President Godswill Akpabio
[dropcap]U[/dropcap]S-based Nigerian media personality and psychologist Dr Sandra Duru-Eluobi, also known as Prof. Mgbeke, has made explosive claims against suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, alleging a conspiracy to undermine Nigeria’s federal government and Senate leadership.

In a live broadcast on Thursday night, Dr Duru accused Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan of making false allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, including claims of organ harvesting, which Duru described as “medically implausible.”
She also alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan manipulated media narratives and sought to use international platforms to escalate the matter.
Dr Duru claimed to have submitted forensically verified evidence including call logs, messages, and audio recordings to Nigerian authorities, the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
She further announced an upcoming CNN appearance and an emergency UN presentation to support her case.
The accusations come weeks after Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension from the Nigerian Senate for alleged misconduct.
“The target is not the Senate president, but the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Dr Duru alleged. “Natasha was promised to be made a governor by her so-called political fathers.”
Her previous claims of sexual harassment against Senator Akpabio were dismissed by the Senate on procedural grounds.
In the Thursday broadcast, Dr Duru accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of attempting to bribe her with awards and claimed she enlisted the support of Arise TV and Dr Oby Ezekwesili to influence public opinion.
Duru labelled these figures as “tools” in a broader political agenda and questioned the credibility of media organisations involved.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has not publicly responded to the latest round of accusations. In prior statements, she defended her actions as being in the interest of transparency and accountability.

Dr Duru concluded by urging Nigerian law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation and called on international bodies to scrutinise what she described as “a coordinated effort to destabilise democracy in Nigeria.”
