JAMB extends DE registration deadline to May 8

2026 Mop-Up UTME slip printing has commenced as JAMB urges eligible candidates to prepare ahead of the June 13 examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the commencement of 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip Printing for candidates scheduled to participate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination mop-up exercise slated for June 13, 2026.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who urged eligible candidates to print their examination notification slips ahead of the exercise.

According to the board, the notification slip contains critical information required for participation in the examination, including candidates’ examination centres, dates, times and other important instructions.

“The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate’s examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions necessary for a seamless examination exercise,” the statement said.

JAMB explained that the mop-up examination was organised for candidates who were unable to sit the earlier Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination due to technical challenges, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed during the main exercise.

The board advised eligible candidates to visit its website and access the dedicated portal for 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip Printing in order to obtain their examination details.

“Eligible candidates are advised to visit the Board’s website and click on ‘Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip’ to access and print their slips,” the statement added.

JAMB also encouraged candidates to print their slips well before the examination date and familiarise themselves with the locations of their assigned centres to avoid last-minute difficulties.

The board stressed that the forthcoming mop-up examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.

In a significant reminder to affected candidates, JAMB stated that no additional examination would be conducted after the mop-up exercise, making the June 13 test a crucial final chance for those who missed the main examination for approved reasons.

The board therefore urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity and make adequate preparations to ensure a smooth and successful examination experience.

The mop-up exercise forms part of JAMB’s efforts to ensure that candidates affected by technical issues or biometric verification challenges are not denied the opportunity to compete for admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
