The robbery took place on 9th September 2024, at around 7 p.m., during which armed thieves stole his iPhone 15 Pro and withdrew ₦2.6 million from his Kuda account.

The stolen funds were transferred to an account belonging to a beneficiary named Azeez Aremu Ayinde.

“I was robbed at jakande estate isolo lagos state yesterday at about 7pm, with a gun. They took my iphone 15 pro and withdrew the sum of 2.6 million from my kuda account. They took everything I worked for 😭😭😭😭😭. Please helpppp,” he cried out.

Following his post, numerous Nigerians offered words of comfort and advice on how to recover his stolen assets.

Among them, SP Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of Delta State Police Command, advised Udogwu to file a formal report at the nearest police station, assuring him that the police would take action.

“”This is the reason why I said the Police is your friend and Helper. Report this officially to Lagos State Police Command and see what happens. Sorry for the trauma,” SP. Edafe wrote.

In response to scepticism from some Twitter users, Udogwu provided detailed accounts of the robbery, explaining how he accessed his Kuda account through a friend’s phone.

He emphasised that his story was genuine and appealed to the public for help in recovering his stolen money and phone.

“I tweeted I was robbed On the 9th of September 2024 at about 7pm in jakande estate isolo lagos state, and I needed help to get my iphone 15 pro back and 2.6m that was stolen. And several persons said i posted a fake transaction, just to extort money from twitter 💔💔

“Immediately I was robbed I went to a friend’s place to see if I could log in my kuda on his phone, fortunately I saw an option of email code method, that was how I was able to log in my kuda to see all transactions that were made. And that was what I posted on that day.

“I would never post a fake photo or a cooked up story to extort money frm people

“I need my money and My phone back that was why I tweeted that incident on my page, so I can get justice, I need what was stolen to be gotten back pleasee. Twitter Nigeria please help me 🙏🙏🙏,” he concluded.
