The event will take place on Tuesday, 8th October 2024, at the Lagos Continental Hotel.

This collaborative event aims to equip Nigerian and American businesses with the knowledge and strategies needed to navigate Nigeria’s evolving economic environment.

Key figures in Nigeria’s financial and business sectors will participate, offering insights on the role of banking reforms in fostering economic development.

The keynote speaker is Mr Kenneth Opara, the immediate past President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

His presentation will be reviewed by an expert panel that includes Mrs Margaret Olele, CEO of the American Business Council; Dr Omolara Akanji, former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Chairperson of the ICC Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria; and Otunba Francis Meshioye, President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). Mr Olufemi Awoyemi, Founder and Chairman of Proshare, will moderate the discussions.

The chief host for the event is Alhaji Sheriff Balogun, the National President of NACC, which has been Nigeria’s leading bilateral chamber since 1960.

As part of the event’s highlights, Woodhall Capital will honour Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu with the Visionary Leadership Award, recognising her contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment and media sectors.

The award ceremony will also mark her 60th birthday, celebrating her role in fostering cultural exchange between Nigeria and the United States.

Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu, Founder of Woodhall Capital, spoke on the significance of this partnership with NACC, stating, “Our collaboration is designed to enhance business relations between both countries while also recognising the incredible contributions of Mo Abudu. Her work has not only shaped Nigeria’s creative industries but has also positioned the country on the global stage.”

Woodhall Capital, a renowned financial advisory firm, has raised over $5 billion from various funding sources worldwide.

The firm has played a pivotal role in supporting local financial institutions, multinationals, and conglomerates across Africa.
