Social media critic VeryDarkMan demands justice for the victim of Portable’s assault, urging authorities to take action against the singer.

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]opular social media critic Martins Otse, known widely as VeryDarkMan, has called for the arrest of street-pop singer Portable following a shocking assault captured in a viral video.

The incident, which occurred during the recent Felabration event in Lagos, has sparked outrage across social media platforms.

In the disturbing footage, Portable and his associates are seen attacking a man in a toilet. The graphic nature of the assault has led to widespread condemnation, with many calling for justice for the victim.

VeryDarkMan reacted to the video in an emotional Instagram post, questioning Portable’s actions. “Imagine what Portable did to this helpless guy.

Is this fair? Why is he treating him like an animal? Is this even right?” he asked, expressing disbelief at the singer’s behaviour.

Following the incident, VeryDarkMan reached out to the victim and provided an update to his followers. He revealed that the man has sustained multiple injuries and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

The medical expenses have reportedly exceeded N700,000, with serious injuries including a broken arm and leg. VeryDarkMan shared the victim’s concerns for his safety, stating,

“The guy you beat is seriously injured and is in the hospital. The bill is over N700,000. He broke his hand and leg. The guy told me that he is scared for his safety.”

In a strong message directed at Portable, VeryDarkMan asserted, “I will write a petition about this. Except if there’s no law in this country, then you will go unpunished.

You think you can abuse power because you are a celebrity?” His comments reflect a growing frustration among the public regarding the perceived impunity of celebrities who engage in violent behaviour without facing consequences.

As the outcry for justice continues to grow, many are watching to see whether authorities will take action against Portable.
