Carlo Ancelotti Real Madrid 2029

Carlo Ancelotti rebuffs rumours of his departure from Real Madrid, confirming his desire to stay until 2029 and emphasising confidence in his squad

[dropcap]C[/dropcap]arlo Ancelotti has firmly dismissed reports claiming that he plans to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, expressing his intention to remain with the club until 2029.

The speculation, fuelled by a report from Onda Cero, suggested that the five-time European Cup-winning coach would depart, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso touted as his successor.

However, addressing the media on Tuesday, Ancelotti put these rumours to rest, stating, “I’ve absolutely not decided to leave Real Madrid.

I hope to stay for four more years, same as Florentino Pérez. That would be perfect in order to do a big farewell together in 2029!”

The Italian coach has been a pivotal figure at Real Madrid since his return in 2021, overseeing the club’s recent successes, including their 14th European Cup victory.

Despite external speculation, Ancelotti’s commitment to the club remains strong, with his stated aim to see out his tenure alongside club president Pérez.

In the same press conference, Ancelotti addressed questions regarding Real Madrid’s potential transfer activity in the January window.

He downplayed any concerns about the club’s lack of spending, referencing Manchester City’s significant financial outlay.

“No, not at all,” Ancelotti responded when asked if he was envious of City’s approach. “We have a very good squad.

Look at last season, for example. We lost players, but it was an even more competitive season. That could happen again this season.”

Ancelotti’s confidence in his squad reflects the depth and quality of the players at his disposal, as Real Madrid continues to challenge for top honours both domestically and in Europe.
