The bank’s decision to promote over 4,000 employees and implement salary increments ranging from 20% to 30% across various staff grades has been recognised as a significant move in fostering productivity and setting a high standard in the Nigerian financial sector.

Speaking on behalf of NASRE, the association’s President, Comrade Femi Oyewale, lauded Zenith Bank for its commitment to prioritising the welfare of its workforce.

He described the bank’s actions as a reflection of corporate responsibility and an exemplary demonstration of how a financial institution can effectively balance employee welfare with business success.

“Zenith Bank’s initiative to prioritise its employees’ welfare is a testament to its understanding of the critical role staff motivation plays in ensuring excellent service delivery,” Oyewale remarked.

He also praised the bank for its broader business strategies, which include a focus on innovation, sustainability, and corporate governance.

Zenith Bank’s efforts, according to Oyewale, prove that financial institutions can achieve exceptional growth while addressing pressing sustainability challenges and maintaining a strong commitment to their employees.

Zenith Bank has been recognised for its outstanding performance under the leadership of Managing Director/CEO Dame Adaora Umeoji, receiving numerous accolades, including “Best Bank in Nigeria 2024” by Global Finance and “Biggest Bank in Nigeria by Tier-1 Capital 2024” by The Banker.

The bank has also been lauded for its dedication to corporate governance, sustainability, and leadership in the financial sector.

Comrade Oyewale further highlighted Zenith Bank’s ongoing contributions to economic inclusion, SME development, and technological advancement, which have positively impacted communities and stakeholders across Nigeria and beyond.

“Zenith Bank’s integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations has positioned it as a beacon of progress in the African banking landscape,” he said.
