Korede Bello addresses fans’ concerns about his absence, sharing a reflective message on self-discovery, inner peace, and the pressures of fame

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]igerian singer Korede Bello has addressed the concerns of fans regarding his relative absence from the public eye, offering a deeply reflective message on Instagram.

In a post shared on Monday, accompanied by Carlos Cipa’s “The Place Where They Go,” Bello spoke candidly about his journey of self-discovery and the profound importance of finding inner peace.

Bello responded to frequent questions from fans, who often ask, “Where have you been?” He expressed his surprise at the question, noting, “I’ve been here all along, with me, myself, and I.” His message underscored the idea that self-connection is more important than external validation.

“I’m grateful that I don’t have to ask myself ‘Korede, where are you?’ For it is better for the world to ask ‘Where have you been?’ than for you to ask yourself ‘Who am I… where am I?’” he said, highlighting the value of inner clarity over the need for others’ approval.

Bello delved into the disconnect that can often occur between fame and inner peace. He reflected, “Don’t you know that you can be extremely rich and famous but lost inside your mind?”

This realisation has led him to understand that the more one connects with themselves, the less the external world may be able to relate.

The singer also touched on the transformative nature of self-discovery, acknowledging that the process might lead to external changes, both in thoughts and actions.

“You think different, you act different because you are different. They might even say ‘Who do you think you are?’” he said.

However, Bello encouraged his followers to embrace this transformation, describing it as a necessary “hero’s journey.”

He also offered words of wisdom on self-worth and resilience, telling his fans, “When you truly find yourself, you find peace.

And even though you may lose some things temporarily, what matters most is that you don’t lose yourself, you’re worth more than things that come and go. You ARE and will always BE.”

In a poetic closing, Bello reassured his fans of his continued presence despite his quiet period, likening himself to light.

“Just because you don’t experience the sunlight at night time doesn’t mean it’s not shining where it is. Surely you will experience the light again when gravity spins you in my direction. I am Light. I am Akorede,” he declared.
