Col. Sani Bello (Rtd) receives Lifetime Achievement Award from NACC for his outstanding legacy in business, leadership, and philanthropy
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Chairman of Mainstream Energy Solutions, Col. Sani Bello (Rtd), has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Business, Leadership & Philanthropy by the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC).

This recognition came during the chamber’s prestigious 65th anniversary dinner held at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island.
The grand event, themed “The Power of Co-operation: 65 Years of Optimizing Nigerian-American Economic Relations”, celebrated individuals who have made indelible contributions to business, leadership, and humanitarian causes.
The evening also featured the official inauguration of NACC’s 20th President, Alhaji Sheriff Balogun.
In a citation read at the event, NACC lauded Col. Bello as an elder statesman whose leadership, business acumen, and philanthropic legacy have impacted countless lives across Nigeria.
“In recognition of your exemplary leadership and service as an elder statesman, your lasting impact on business and commerce in Nigeria, and your legacy as a philanthropist lifting countless lives and inspiring future generations.”
The business mogul was also the chief launcher of the 3-Dimensional multi-storey headquarters building of NACC which was unveiled during the event, where a floor has been dedicated to him, the Sani Bello International Entrepreneurship Centre – one of the seven floors of the building.
Other dignitaries honoured on the night included Chief Michael AdeOjo, Arthur Eze, Chief Pius Akinyelure, and Prime Minister Americo D’Oliveira Dos Ramos of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Posthumous tributes were paid to Ambassador Walter Carrington, Mr. Richard Kramer, and Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston, Texas.
“In recognition of your exemplary leadership and service as an elder statesman… inspiring future generations.”
The event also witnessed the unveiling of the NACC’s multi-storey headquarters building and the induction of 52 new members into the Chamber.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Cooperatives, Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, praised the Chamber’s role in economic development, reaffirming government support for businesses and trade relations.
President Alhaji Sheriff Balogun pledged to steer NACC through strategic initiatives centred on SME growth, export promotion, and trade missions, noting:
“My vision for the Chamber is founded on three pillars – Expansion, Innovation & Impact.”
