Peter Obi Sanwo-Olu Response

Reno Omokri criticizes Peter Obi for not responding to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s allegations, claiming Obi avoided policy debates and failed to deliver infrastructure as Anambra governor

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]olitical commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has once again challenged Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to respond to criticisms levelled against him by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

In a sharp critique shared across social platforms, Omokri accused Obi of evading serious policy debates, noting that it has been five days since Sanwo-Olu’s statements without a direct response from the former Anambra State governor.

“This is the fifth day, and Peter Obi has still not recovered from the Sanwo Salvo,” Omokri said. “Fellow Nigerians, is that the sort of character you think can rescue you?”

Omokri alleged that during his eight-year tenure as governor, Obi failed to deliver core infrastructure in the education and health sectors  specifically, not building a single nursery, primary or secondary school, university, or a stand-alone hospital.

In a biting rhetorical flourish, he contrasted this with Obi’s investment in breweries:

“Yet, he built not one but two beer breweries. The man planned to get us drunk so we do not notice that his plans have sunk!”

The statement adds to the intensifying political rivalry and scrutiny surrounding leading political figures ahead of Nigeria’s next major election cycle.
