Kolmani Oil Wells gain momentum as NNPCL drills four in Bauchi. Gas plant construction in Kogi set to transform energy access across northern Nigeria

Kolmani Oil Wells continue to signal promising prospects for Nigeria’s energy future as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) confirms the successful drilling of four wells in Bauchi State.

Speaking at the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation’s interactive session in Kaduna, NNPCL Director Mr. Yusuf Usman revealed that the Kolmani Oil Wells represent a critical milestone in northern Nigeria’s energy exploration efforts.

“So far, the NNPCL has drilled four wells in the Kolmani area of Bauchi State and is currently evaluating the appropriate technology for the next drilling phase,” Usman said.

In alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative, five CNG and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants are also being built in Kogi State.

These developments are expected to dramatically enhance gas supply and accessibility throughout the northern region.
