In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the Presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel as a towering figure of influence and impact in Nigeria, Africa and beyond on spiritual, educational and philanthropic platforms.

Tinubu commended Oyedepo’s discipline and dedication since establishing the ministry in 1982, noting that these qualities had driven the global expansion of Living Faith Church Worldwide and spurred contributions to health, education and infrastructure in several countries.

“You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings,” Tinubu noted, adding that Oyedepo’s steadfastness in the Word of Faith movement has inspired many other ministries that now contribute significantly to the economy.

The President further praised Oyedepo’s role in nation-building through preaching, teaching and service, describing him as “a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate.”

He prayed for the Bishop’s long life, good health and wisdom to continue uplifting individuals, families and nations.

Bishop Oyedepo, regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian leaders, founded Living Faith Church Worldwide in 1981.
