Jandor 2027 Lagos governorship ambition

Jandor 2027 Lagos governorship ambition gains traction as he pledges inclusive governance and stronger accountability under the APC platform

Jandor 2027 Lagos governorship ambition has taken a fresh turn as Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, reaffirmed his resolve to contest for the governorship seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday, Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, said his pursuit of the top job in Lagos was driven by a desire to foster inclusive governance, transparency, and sustainable development.

He described his ambition as more than a personal quest, noting that it reflected a shared vision to build “a Lagos where opportunity, innovation, and prosperity are accessible to all.”

The former 2023 PDP Governorship Candidate, who recently joined the APC, emphasised that his aspiration would align with party principles and internal democracy.

“We will subject ourselves to the internal democracy of the party in APC, and whatever the party decides, we’re going to work for the party,” he said.

According to him, returning to the APC marked a strategic continuation of his political journey.

“Today, we are in APC and we are happy to return home where we belong. I am running for governor of Lagos state in 2027 under APC,” he declared confidently.

Reflecting on his time in the PDP, Jandor blamed the party’s dwindling influence on leadership failure, indiscipline, and disregard for its constitution. He noted that no serious politician could thrive under such instability.

He, however, acknowledged the need to remain vigilant of opposition parties, including the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress, noting that “a good politician must look at the opposing camp twice and know how to tackle it.”

Jandor expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in 2027, asserting that the ruling party was now more united and formidable than ever before.

“Unlike other political parties, nobody is leaving APC today; rather, people are coming in more. As far as Lagos state is concerned, the victory of APC is going to be seamless in 2027,” he said.

He added that the Lagos4Lagos Movement structure across all 57 council areas remained strong and ready to mobilise support for the APC.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, Jandor 2027 Lagos governorship ambition appears set to redefine political alignment and the quest for inclusive governance in Nigeria’s commercial capital.
