Buckwyld Media Educate 2 Empower event celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child, inspiring education and leadership for girls

Buckwyld Media’s Educate 2 Empower event in Lekki has illuminated the power of education as a transformative tool for girls across Nigeria.

The Pop Central Culture Space was alive with inspiration as Buckwyld Media Network hosted the prestigious Educate 2 Empower (E2E) Soirée to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child.

The evening radiated optimism and determination, celebrating education as the bedrock of empowerment.

A highlight of the soirée was the documentary ADDA: Empowered by Education, inspired by Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, Nigeria’s first female President of the Court of Appeal.

Directed by Theo Ukpa, the film movingly depicted girls overcoming adversity to pursue education and leadership.

Dr Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode, humanitarian and author, delivered a compelling keynote that underscored the transformative power of learning.

She urged society to expand educational access and nurture environments where girls can thrive without limitation.

A thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Bola Yinka-Obebe, founder of Speakede and Executive Director of Pop Central, explored actionable strategies for empowerment.

Panellists including Oluwatomisin Adebukola Badewole, Lucy Ameh, Betty Abah, Solomon Okonkwo and Theo Ukpa shared insights on storytelling, confidence, and gender equity.

The soirée also marked the unveiling of First Ally Capital as the official partner managing the E2E Scholarship Trust.

The firm, represented by managing director, Adetola Adeleye, will oversee the scholarship for winners of the ongoing E2E Career-Day Challenge.

Corporate partners lent their voices of support.

The Alternative Bank, represented by Olawale Azeez, reaffirmed its dedication to youth development, while MTN Nigeria, represented by Godfrey Ogonna, expressed pride in advancing education and gender inclusion.

Media support came from Pop Central TV, Virtual Media Network, Arewa 24, and NTA Hausa.

Buckwyld Media CEO and E2E initiator, Efe Omorogbe, closed the evening with a powerful message.

He emphasised that Educate 2 Empower is not merely a campaign but a movement to create lasting change through creativity and storytelling.

“Educate 2 Empower is about shaping a world where every girl learns, leads, and uplifts others as she rises,” Omorogbe declared.
