The 31-year-old midfielder is set to make his 300th appearance for United on Saturday as the team aims to bounce back from three consecutive home defeats, the latest being against Brighton.

According to BBC Sports, Fernandes’ current deal, which runs until 2027 with an option for an additional year, includes a clause allowing him to join a club outside England for £56.68 million (€65 million) if activated early.

“As I’ve always said, I feel good here. I want to achieve my dreams still,” Fernandes said. “If the club has made any agreement for me to leave, it wasn’t with me. I haven’t spoken with anyone.

My agent knows I won’t discuss anything until after the World Cup.”

The Portugal international revealed he had spoken with chief executive Omar Berrada, technical director Jason Wilcox, and head coach Ruben Amorim after Saudi club Al-Hilal showed interest, but insisted no decision was made.

He added that his family’s happiness in Manchester has been key to his current mindset.

“My family feels very well here. My kids love their school, and our house here feels more like home than in Portugal,” he said.

“My wife asked me if I’ve achieved everything I wanted at the club — I told her I haven’t.”
