The team will face Gabon’s Panthers on Thursday, November 13, while Cameroon meets the Democratic Republic of Congo in the other semi-final.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, expressed unwavering confidence that the three-time African champions are fully prepared for the decisive fixtures.

“Everything is being done by the NSC and the NFF to ensure that nothing is left to chance. No stone will be left unturned,” he said.

Gusau highlighted the unity and determination within the squad, noting that communication between players and the technical crew is strong.

“Every preparation required to see the team soar to victory is being made. The players are additionally motivated by that universal dream of every footballer — to feature at the FIFA World Cup finals,” he added.

The play-off matches are set to be staged at Rabat’s El-Barid Stadium or the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex, with the final to take place at the Stade Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan.

CAF will conduct a draw on Thursday, October 30, to determine which semi-final will be played at each venue.
