Starville school incident in Jahi, Abuja, has raised serious concerns after a confrontation between a teacher and a student reportedly escalated into a clash with parents.

According to reports, the teacher allegedly slapped a student who had pushed him twice.
The situation intensified during a meeting convened by the school principal to address the issue.
During the meeting, the student’s parents, Mr & Mrs Balogun, retaliated by slapping the teacher, heightening tensions at the school.
The incident has sparked debate over discipline practices and the appropriate handling of conflicts in educational settings.

Authorities at Starville School have not yet released an official statement, but the episode has raised questions about student-teacher interactions and parental conduct within schools.
In a follow-up, the year 8 child has now been expelled from the school and the parents permanently banned from the school.
According to a source, what really happened was that the teacher, Mr. Etim, asked the boy to line up with other students. He was unruly and the teacher tapped his head.
The student immediately pushed the teacher twice which resulted in the teacher slapping the boy.
The school sanctioned the teacher with forfeit of a week salary and also issued him a final warning letter never to lay hands on any child or he get sacked.
The school principal, Mr. Makundu apologized for over 30 minutes to the couple. The teacher also did apologize but the parents chose to take laws into their hands.
