Chiamaka Nnadozie wins the WSL Save of the Month as her Brighton form earns acclaim.

Chiamaka Nnadozie claimed the Nnadozie WSL award on Monday after the Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper won the Women’s Super League Save of the Month accolade for November with a spectacular stop in the 1 to 1 draw against Liverpool.

Chiamaka Nnadozie beat Aston Villa’s Sabrina D’Angelo, Liverpool’s Faye Kirby and Manchester City’s Ayaka Yamashita to secure the honour for the first time since joining the English top flight.

The decisive moment came when the Nigeria international leapt acrobatically to tip Fuka Nagano’s long-range strike onto the crossbar before the ball spun out of play, drawing instant applause from supporters inside the stadium.

The 24-year-old joined Brighton at the start of the season and has quickly become a fan favourite.

Her sharp reflexes, calm authority and consistency have strengthened Brighton’s defensive structure, while her November save was replayed widely across WSL platforms, with analysts calling it one of the most striking goalkeeping interventions of the campaign.

Chiamaka Nnadozie had been nominated for the award in October but lost out to Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar.

Her latest recognition adds momentum to a year in which she has continued to build an imposing reputation in England.

The 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year remains the Super Falcons’ first choice and is admired globally for her penalty saves, leadership and reliability on the international stage.

Her growing stature in the WSL underscores a season of remarkable progress and rising influence.
