Lagos State mourns the death of Omoshalewa Popoola, beloved Ikorodu indigene, following a courageous battle with kidney disease in 2025
With profound sorrow, the family of Popoola M. Omoshalewa (Monsurat) announced her peaceful transition to eternal glory after a long battle with kidney disease.

A cherished indigene of Lagos State from Ikorodu Division, Omoshalewa passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Renowned for her grace, strength, and unwavering faith, Omoshalewa touched countless lives throughout her courageous fight, inspiring many with her warmth and resilience.
The family expressed deep gratitude to those who supported her through prayers, kind words, donations, and other acts of love during her illness, describing their compassion as unforgettable.
“Omoshalewa will be sorely missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free from pain,” the statement said.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
