The Carter Efe Twitch suspension was confirmed by the comedian on Monday, with the platform imposing a four-month ban over alleged violations of its Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Twitch did not disclose specific details regarding the reported infractions.
The move comes shortly after a landmark livestream on December 17, 2025, during which Carter Efe hosted Davido in a session that drew massive online attention across Africa and beyond.
The broadcast propelled Carter Efe to become Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, amassing more than 405,000 followers and overtaking fellow Nigerian creators including Shank Comics.
Fans described the development as a crushing blow, particularly given the timing during the festive season, when the comedian’s content traditionally attracts heightened engagement.
Supporters flooded his social media pages with messages of solidarity, praising his infectious humour and branding him a joy giver while urging Twitch to urgently reconsider the decision.
Speculation online suggested the suspension may have stemmed from mass reporting linked to comments or antics during the livestream.
However, claims of additional bans on other platforms were dismissed as false by sources close to the comedian.

Despite the setback, Carter Efe has not indicated any plans to step back from content creation, as fans continue to call for a swift and fair resolution to the suspension.
