The event brought together more than 500 children from vulnerable homes and about 700 adults, including families, corporate partners, volunteers and development advocates, under the theme Embracing Humanity, Enriching Lives.
Mr Olubode Mac Oserinde said the project began as a small act of compassion for children in orphanages and had evolved into a structured humanitarian movement sustained largely through partnerships and goodwill.
Mr Olubode Mac Oserinde said that from 2026, the Bundle of Hope Child Care and Empowerment Foundation, chaired by Professor Abigail Ogwezzy, will assume oversight of the initiative to expand programmes in orphanage support, rehabilitation outreach, skills development, street child intervention and education.
A major moment of the event was the induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors, including Jamal Oba, Moremi Oba, Anuoluwapo Adedeji and Akorede Lawal, reinforcing the child-led advocacy element of the platform.
The GLOWFUX Hall of Charity Awards honoured humanitarian contributions across sectors, with Dr Adebola Ismail Akindele named GLOWFUX Man of the Year 2025, HRH Olori Ambassador Dr Omolara Fashola MacGregory named Woman of the Year, SIFAX Group named Socially Responsible Organisation of the Year and Dream Nurture Initiative named NGO of the Year.
Entertainment featured performances by child entertainers including Dom Sax, Chief Adigun Olowe and Akorede Bobo, while saxophonist Temilayo Abodunrin was unable to attend due to flight cancellations, according to organisers.
Brand partners were integrated into games and audience engagement, with companies such as Peak Milk, Beloxxi Biscuits, Gala, 7UP Bottling Company, Fan Milk and Dettol receiving dedicated recognition.
Peak Milk created a vibrant presence through interactive games and the distribution of gifts and refreshments, adding a warm and memorable touch to the family-focused atmosphere.
Dignitaries at the event included Yeni Kuti as Mother of the Day, Barrister Tunji Bamishigbin as Father of the Day, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin represented by Omotunde Olaleye, and Ambassador Dr Oluwasegun Mutair Musa represented by Dr Olusegun Awe Obe.
About 500 children from 12 beneficiary homes across Lagos State were treated as VIP guests and received gift items made possible through donations from individuals and corporate partners.
