Turkish Airlines golf deal secures a new three year partnership to keep the airline as title sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open on the DP World Tour

Turkish Airlines Chief Executive Officer Bilal Ekşi today signed a new three year sports partnership agreement confirming the airline’s continued title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines Open on the DP World Tour.

The agreement secures the tournament’s place on the international golf calendar for the next three seasons and ensures the event remains one of the flagship tournaments staged in Antalya.

The airline first became title sponsor of the Turkish Airlines Open in 2013, helping to attract leading players including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia and Tyrrell Hatton.

Beyond professional golf, Turkish Airlines also organises the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, now the world’s largest amateur golf tournament, staged this year across 122 destinations in 83 countries.

The airline said the partnership formed part of a broader strategy to use sport as a platform for global engagement and tourism promotion.

Bilal Ekşi said the agreement represented a long term investment in sport, tourism and international connection while supporting Türkiye’s ambition to be a global hub for major events.

Mark Casey, Director of Tournament Business at the DP World Tour, welcomed the extension and said the return of the Turkish Airlines Open to the Race to Dubai in 2026 was an important moment for the tour.

Hasan Ceylan, General Manager of the National Golf Club, said hosting the tournament was a landmark achievement and that the course was designed to provide a demanding but rewarding championship test.

The renewed partnership was welcomed by players and organisers as a positive and stabilising move at a time when elite golf continues to evolve and expand into new markets.
