Afrobeats singer Zlatan Ibile, 30, publicly denied a viral post alleging that Davita, the mother of his children, is not his wife.

The social media post, widely shared without verification, sparked debate online and drew attention to the singer’s private family life.

In a statement on Twitter, Zlatan Ibile expressed frustration with Nigerians who circulate unverified claims, describing the post as “fake” and urging caution online.

“Y’all know I hate to shalaye. But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before you engage an agenda post in 2026 !! You don’t deserve to have internet on your phone !! THIS IS FAKE !!! Banger boy, your time is coming soon,” he wrote.

Zlatan Ibile, known for maintaining a low public profile, explained that he rarely addresses such rumours but felt compelled to clarify the misinformation.

He highlighted the importance of verifying content before sharing it online.

The singer and Davita have recently celebrated several personal milestones.

Davita graduated from Birmingham University, an achievement Zlatan Ibile publicly supported, and the couple marked their second son’s first birthday earlier this month.

Fans and followers responded positively to Zlatan Ibile’s clarification, praising his commitment to family and calling for greater responsibility in online discourse.
