Do2dtun Black Fab Soundyard preview gathers top Lagos OAPs as media unites to support the artist’s debut project ahead of January 30th release

Media entrepreneur Do2dtun gathered over 20 of Lagos’s most influential on-air personalities for an exclusive preview of Black Fab’s debut project, Soundyard Vol 1, signalling strong institutional support for the rising artist, the media executive said on Tuesday.

The listening session, held across private locations in Lagos, brought together veteran personalities including Taymi B, Moni, OTB, RnB, Louie, Arthur, Alimat, Kolade, Cheche Smith, DJ Rabbit, Chichi Ella, Grand Prince, Real Skillz, Timi, Charity, Kemismallz, Emmanuella Odiatu, Yaw, and Fola. Do2dtun urged the group to champion Black Fab as a new face of Nigerian sound.

“I’m pleading with everyone to adopt Black Fab as our own,” Do2dtun said.

“This music is the reason I’m getting back in the music business. The sound is so refreshing. I’m excited about where this journey is headed.”

Tracks previewed included “I Like Am,” “Away,” scheduled for official release on 30 January, “Ufedo,” and “Keep On Moving.”

Attendees were unanimous in their praise, noting both the production quality and strategic versatility of the project.

Kemismallz of Beat FM said: “‘I Like Am’ alone would have captured my attention, but the full Soundyard Vol 1 shows we are witnessing something special. This is why many of us entered media in the first place.”

Attendees have begun coordinating support strategies across platforms, planning interviews, playlist placements, features, and social media amplification.

Taymi B of Inspiration FM described the effort as a “coordinated ecosystem of support,” designed to maximise impact when “Away” drops at the end of the month.

Industry insiders also highlighted the project’s multi-track strategy.

Splash FM’s Moni noted that “Keep On Moving” appeals to introspective audiences, while “Ufedo” delivers celebratory energy for peak radio slots.

DJ Rabbit confirmed he was building mixes around several tracks, citing the songwriting, production, and vocal performance as standout elements.

Kolade of Lagos Talks contextualised Black Fab’s emergence, observing that Soundyard Vol 1 pushes Afrobeats into new sonic territory while maintaining its global appeal.

Arthur, an industry consultant, described the session as “strategic brilliance,” noting that pre-release engagement created immediate advocates among media gatekeepers.

With “Away” set for release on 30 January and the full project expected in Q1 2026, Black Fab enters the year with broad institutional support.

Fola of The Beat summarised: “This is what happens when genuine artistry meets strategic industry engagement. Black Fab has created music that doesn’t need artificial hype it speaks for itself.”
