Lucky Elohor death: Nigerian digital creator and GROW Network founder dies at 29 after a car accident in Ilorin, Kwara, amid emergency response failures
Lucky Elohor, the Nigerian digital creator and founder of the GROW Network, has died at the age of 29 following a car accident in Ilorin, the state capital.

Her passing was announced on her official Instagram page on Tuesday. Popularly known as Digital Creator Chic, Lucky Elohor built the GROW Network as an online platform dedicated to career development and professional growth, mentoring hundreds of young Nigerians.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, her family described her as “a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives” and requested privacy and prayers during their mourning period. Further burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
“It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Lucky Elohor,” the statement reads.
“Elohor was a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives. She built with intention, loved deeply, and served selflessly through her work, her community, and her faith.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the assurance that she has gone to be with the Lord, and that her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.”
According to a close friend, the fatal accident was caused by a pothole.
The friend also highlighted systemic failures in emergency response and healthcare access, stating that no immediate rescue service was available and that the nearest public hospital was on strike.
“They transported accident victims to another city, where the private facility was ill-equipped. There was no functional MRI in Ilorin; the nearest was in Ogbomosho.
My girl didn’t make it back from that trip,” the friend wrote on social media.

Lucky Elohor’s death has sparked discussions about road safety and the state of emergency medical services in Nigeria, alongside tributes to her work in mentoring and empowering young Nigerians through the GROW Network.
