ADC congress timetable released ahead of April 14 national convention, with ward, local government and state congresses scheduled nationwide
The African Democratic Congress has unveiled the ADC congress timetable for its nationwide congresses leading to the party’s National Convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.

The schedule was announced in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo, and National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the process will begin with polling unit and ward congresses on April 7 across the country.
Local government area congresses are slated for April 9, while state congresses will follow on April 11 as part of the party’s preparations for the national convention.
The party said the exercise is designed to renew its leadership structures at all levels of the organisation in accordance with its constitution.
“This process forms part of the party’s constitutional responsibility to renew its leadership structures across all levels of the organisation, culminating in the national convention,” the statement said.
The leadership of the party also urged members interested in contesting vacant positions to obtain and submit nomination or expression of interest forms through the party’s official website.
According to the statement, the nationwide exercise will culminate in the National Convention scheduled to take place on April 14.
