Nigerian skit maker Cute Abiola has come under intense scrutiny following the release of a video documenting his wife’s labour and delivery, with critics accusing him of crossing ethical boundaries in content creation.

Cute Abiola, whose real name is Abdulgafar Ahmad, shared the footage days after announcing the birth of his second child with his wife, Khudrah Mosunmola, earlier in April.

He also disclosed that medical professionals had advised a caesarean section.

Others raised concerns about sensitivity, pointing out that Khudrah Mosunmola has reportedly undergone multiple caesarean procedures within a short period.

One user wrote that filming during such a critical moment reflected misplaced priorities, while another criticised what they described as the monetisation of a private and emotional experience.

Despite the criticism, some observers noted that the video also showed Cute Abiola offering emotional support to his wife, highlighting the complexity of the situation and the blurred lines between personal storytelling and public content.
