The Boca Energy Workers’ Day message was delivered by the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, James Ukachukwu, who praised workers for their unwavering commitment despite ongoing economic and operational challenges.

Ukachukwu described workers as the backbone of the economy, noting that their efforts remain essential to sustaining productivity and national development even in uncertain conditions.

He stated that the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration offers an important moment not only for reflection but also for renewed commitment to efficiency, patriotism, and collective growth.

According to him, building a stronger and more competitive economy requires shared responsibility between employers, employees, and policymakers, with a focus on long-term sustainability.

Ukachukwu also called for increased investment in workforce welfare, stressing that improved conditions of service, capacity development, and inclusive workplace policies are vital to unlocking higher productivity.

He emphasised that a motivated workforce remains the foundation of sustainable economic growth, urging both public and private sector stakeholders to prioritise employee well-being.
