The assurance was given by the committee chairman, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who stated that preparations had been concluded to ensure a free, fair and orderly process in line with directives from the party’s national leadership.

Transparency in APC Kwara governorship primary election commitment includes the distribution of voting materials before Jumat prayers, with voting expected to commence simultaneously across all 16 local government areas after the prayers.

Senator Obanikoro explained that the committee had engaged all governorship aspirants at the state secretariat in Ilorin, where electoral procedures were fully explained and concerns addressed to promote inclusiveness and confidence in the process.

According to him, designated local government election officers have been deployed across the state to oversee the receipt of materials and coordination of the voting exercise.

The chairman reiterated that only the committee is authorised to conduct, conclude and submit the results of the primary election, stressing that all arrangements had been made to ensure compliance with party guidelines.
