The actress made the announcement on Sunday in an emotional birthday message shared on Instagram, accompanied by photographs from her pregnancy and a close-up image of her daughter’s hand.
According to Adunni Ade, the decision to keep the child out of the public eye was motivated by a desire to protect her family’s peace and enjoy the blessing without external pressure or scrutiny.
“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years,” she wrote.
The actress described the arrival of her daughter as the culmination of years of waiting, private struggles and answered prayers.
“We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless, and not everything good needs an audience. We wanted to enjoy our blessing,” Adunni Ade said.
The revelation marks a significant moment for fans who have closely followed the actress’s career but were unaware that she had quietly expanded her family.
In her post, Adunni Ade also addressed the assumptions and speculation that often surround women, motherhood and private family decisions, stressing that not every untold story is linked to controversy.
“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached,” she wrote.
The actress affectionately referred to her daughter as “Baby Sal,” describing the child as an answered prayer and a powerful reminder of faith, patience and divine timing.
“God gave me mine. Fully. Peacefully. Intentionally. A journey of almost a decade. Our baby girl, our answered prayer, my evidence that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time,” she added.
A notable aspect of the announcement was Adunni Ade’s effort to distinguish between her public persona and her private life, noting that much of her personal journey remains unseen by the public.
“Adunni Ade online is one thing. Adunni Adewale at home is something you may never fully understand and that’s okay,” she wrote.
In what appeared to be a direct response to possible public speculation, the actress also clarified that no family relationship was harmed in the circumstances surrounding the birth of her daughter.
“No single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal,” she stated.
The Adunni Ade Baby Girl announcement has generated widespread reactions from fans, colleagues and well-wishers, many of whom praised the actress for safeguarding a major personal milestone while navigating life in the public spotlight.
Already a mother to two sons, Adunni Ade expressed gratitude to those who have supported and prayed for her family over the years.
