Dîner en Blanc Lagos organisers have announced that Dîner en Blanc Lagos will return to the city on Friday, November 20, 2026, inviting guests to an elegant open-air dinner at a secret location, with tickets priced at ₦35,000 per person and sold in pairs.

The organisers are presenting the 2026 gathering as a celebration of food, fashion, friendship and community, with the venue deliberately kept secret until guests are escorted there from designated meeting points.

The official Dîner en Blanc platform confirms Lagos as one of the global events scheduled for November 20.

The Lagos edition will draw inspiration from the 2026 global theme, “Une Soirée Parisienne: La Belle Époque”, bringing a Parisian touch to the city’s distinctive social and creative scene.

The experience is built around an unusual ritual. Guests arrive dressed entirely in white, carrying their tables, chairs, food and describe the event as more than a dinner, presenting it as a cultural gathering centred on shared experiences table settings before volunteers guide them towards the undisclosed venue.

The official Lagos organisers describe the event as more than a dinner, presenting it as a cultural gathering centred on shared experiences, spontaneity and community.

“We are incredibly excited to finally announce the date for Diner en Blanc Lagos,” the Lagos hosting team said ahead of the event.

“Lagos is a city that understands celebration, style, creativity and community and we cannot wait to see how our guests interpret the traditions in their own distinctive way.”

For 2026, organisers say guests can expect the familiar all-white dress code, carefully arranged tables, dining, music and the closely guarded mystery surrounding the venue.

The official concept requires guests to meet at assigned departure points across the city.

A volunteer known as a Table Leader then guides each group to the secret location, allowing the venue to remain undisclosed until arrival.

Guests traditionally bring a folding table, two chairs, a white tablecloth, napkins, tableware and a gourmet meal for two.

The Lagos organisers have also promoted options for catered meals and rentals, making participation easier for guests who do not want to transport all their equipment themselves.

The ticket information supplied for the 2026 Lagos edition puts admission at ₦35,000 per person, with tickets sold in pairs.

A ₦12,000 membership fee per person is also listed, meaning two attendees would pay ₦70,000 for the pair of tickets and, if both membership fees apply, a combined ₦24,000 in membership charges.

The organisers’ registration model follows three phases. Previous members and friends of organisers receive access first, followed by friends sponsored by earlier members and then people on the wider fan list.

The Lagos event also carries a notable history. The city first joined the international Dîner en Blanc network in 2017, when the event was introduced as a secret outdoor dining experience during the festive season.

The global concept itself originated in Paris in the late 1980s, when François Pasquier and friends organised an outdoor dinner and asked guests to dress in white so they could identify one another.

The idea subsequently developed into an international event held across cities worldwide.

According to the organisers, Dîner en Blanc has since expanded to more than 120 cities across 40 countries, while retaining its central combination of mystery, elegant dress and communal dining.

The evening typically builds towards a distinctive napkin-wave ceremony, followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing before guests leave the location with their belongings and memories of the night.

For Lagos, the combination of the secret venue, Parisian-inspired styling and the city’s energetic social culture is expected to give the November gathering its own character while preserving the traditions that have defined Dîner en Blanc internationally.

With the location still under wraps, the mystery remains an important part of the appeal. Guests know the date, dress code and meeting arrangements, but the final destination will only become clear as the evening unfolds.
