The Nigeria Digital PR Summit (NDPRS), convened by Segun McMedal, has unveiled 22 speakers for its 11th edition, scheduled for October 15 and 16 at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, as the annual gathering prepares to examine how digital platforms, creator culture and changing audience behaviour are reshaping public relations.
The summit, themed “The Rise of Digital Influence: Culture, Creators and the New PR Playbook,” will bring together professionals from government, corporate communications, marketing, entertainment and technology to explore emerging approaches to reputation management, audience engagement and digital storytelling.

Gboyega Akosile, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Media and Publicity, is also scheduled to address delegates. O’tega Ogra, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Engagement, Strategy and New Media, will lead a masterclass focused on the evolving digital communications landscape.
Other masterclass facilitators include Celestine Achi, Chief Executive Officer of Cihan Media Group; Tokunboh George-Taylor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SKOT Communications; Bolaji Abimbola, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Indigo Limited; and Odion Aleobua, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Creato Urban.
The faculty also includes Femi Opadere, Head of Digital Media at Globacom Limited; Paul Okeugo, Co-founder and Chairman of Chocolate City Music Group; Franklin Ozekhome, Executive Vice President for Strategy and Innovation at Chain Reactions Africa; and Dr Franklyn Ginger-Eke, Founder and Chief Strategist of The Rainbow Strategy.
Two panel sessions will examine the relationship between corporate communications, marketing, entertainment and digital influence, bringing together practitioners working across different parts of Nigeria’s communications ecosystem.
The first panel will feature Ayodeji Razaq, Group Chief Executive Officer of RED | For Africa; Victoria Uwadoka, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria Plc; Henry Bassey, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DigiBrands; and Sylva Ifedigbo, Director of Corporate Communications at IHS Towers Nigeria.
Elizabeth Ogunseye, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Subify Technologies, will moderate the discussion.
The second panel will bring together Kenneth Iruonagbe, Head of Digital Communications at TGI Group; Mojisola Oladapo, Chief Marketing Officer of Filmhouse Group; Efe Omorogbe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Now Muzik and Buckwyld Media Network; and Shalom Akanbi, Communication Strategist at So.Me Solutions.
Tobi Rasaq Alaka, Corporate Communications Manager at Zone Payment Network, will moderate the session.
The programme reflects a broader shift in public relations, where influence increasingly extends beyond traditional media outlets and institutional voices to include online communities, independent creators and algorithm-driven platforms.

Speaking on the line-up, McMedal said the selection of speakers was intended to reflect the changing sources of influence and the need for communications professionals to adapt.
“This year’s faculty reflects that reality,” McMedal said.
“We have brought together the people who make policy, build brands, shape culture and create content, because the new PR playbook cannot be written by any one of them alone.”
He added that the summit aims to equip practitioners with the skills required to earn public trust in an environment where attracting attention has become easier, but sustaining credibility remains a challenge.
Beyond the discussions and masterclasses, the Nigeria Digital PR Summit will launch the fifth edition of the Digital PR Digest during the opening ceremony on Thursday, October 15.
The event will conclude on Friday, October 16, with the third Nigeria Digital PR Awards Gala, themed “Art of Influence.”
The ceremony will also feature the unveiling and conferment of the Digital Communications Ambassadors, Class of 2026.
Attendance at the summit is free, although registration is mandatory. Registration is scheduled to open at 8.00 am on both days, with sessions beginning at 9.00 am.
Established by Upticomm Marketing Company Limited and endorsed by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the Nigeria Digital PR Summit has been held annually in Lagos since 2016.
The initiative brings together communications professionals, brands, government institutions, content creators and students to advance digital public relations practice.
