Maoli, who resides in Toronto, faces one count of sexual assault and two counts of indecent act in connection with the reported incidents.
Police said investigators released an image of the suspect as part of efforts to identify possible additional victims.
According to the police, the first incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on September 1 aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway train at King Station.
Investigators alleged that Maoli exposed himself to two passengers on the train.
The victims reportedly activated the train’s security alarm, prompting the suspect to leave the subway car.
Police subsequently included the incident in their investigation into alleged indecent acts and sexual assault on the subway network.
The second reported incident occurred at approximately 12:10 a.m. on October 3 at College Station.
Police alleged that the suspect followed a passenger who was getting off a subway train.
According to the statement, the suspect continued following the victim onto an escalator, where he allegedly exposed himself.
The victim reportedly confronted him verbally, after which he fled the area.
The incidents formed part of the investigation that led to Maoli’s arrest and the charges against him.
The Toronto Police Service said investigators believe there could be additional victims and appealed to members of the public with relevant information to contact the authorities.
The release of the suspect’s image was intended to assist investigators in identifying anyone who may have experienced similar incidents.
