Kidnappers holding the two sons of a Nigerian Air Force officer in Kaduna State have demanded a fresh N200 million ransom after the family had already paid N26 million and handed over 25 mobile phones.
The mother of the victims, Tina Daniel Dominic, told Sahara Reporters that her sons, Derrick (who turns 14 in December) and Damian, 12, were abducted from their home at Rimi, Kamazou, in Chikun Local Government Area on August 30, 2026.
According to her, the boys have spent nine weeks in captivity. She said the abductors stopped contacting the family for about two weeks before reaching out again on October 29 with the new demand.
Mrs Dominic said the kidnappers claimed her husband, a military officer, had sent people to their camp and insisted on the additional N200 million before the children would be released.
“We are crying to the government. We don’t have that amount of money to give to them,” she said.
The family has appealed for urgent intervention to secure the release of the two boys.
